Join CAIR-Florida in Urging Principal Inge Frederick to Provide Islam 101 Trainings to Counter Islamophobia

CAIR-Florida highly encourages Principal Inge Frederick to work with our organization to provide a series of Islam 101 trainings at Crystal River Middle School.

Volitich publicly spewed Islamophobic rhetoric through this podcast avenue, on Twitter, and via other social media accounts. Notably, in a February 26 episode of the podcast obtained by HuffPost, Volitich talked about being a middle school teacher in her second year --, she says she strives to teach her views to her students and take back influence in the classroom from "the left."

She also says she staved off any suspicion by encouraging students to "play along" when she acted differently under the observation of superiors.  "Volitich’s clear anti-Islamic and xenophobic convictions are dangerous, not only to the education of Crystal River students but to local and state communities at large. It makes us all less safe, is misrepresentative, and furthers the Islamophobic agenda.

The only element that should be eradicated from this earth, or the classroom for that matter, is ‘hate’ - not a religion that teaches peace, understanding, and compassion," said CAIR-Florida’s Central Florida Regional Director, Rasha Mubarak.
