Oppose CA AB 2382!
I stand with the Firearms Policy Coalition and oppose AB 2382. This bill would vastly expand California's regulations by enacting virtually-identical laws on most non-firearm parts and components as Gavin Newsom's Proposition 63 and Senator de Leon's SB 1235 did for ammunition. Most gun parts would be regulated, and purchasing them would require face-to-face transactions, background checks, age restrictions, government ID, new DOJ dealer licenses to sell "firearm precursor parts," new storage and handling requirements, and a new DOJ database of sales. The bill would also create new crimes. As with ammunition, online purchases and importation from other states would generally be prohibited. AB 2382 significantly oversteps the boundaries of the Second Amendment, so I urge you to vote NO on AB 2382.
