In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects, processes, and security within our AWS cloud infrastructure. We are looking for someone to define and manage our DevOps practices. You will be responsible for improving and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, while enabling and collaborating with the development team to efficiently deliver high-quality projects. You will be supporting our Ruby on Rails development team and its deployment processes, scalability, resilience, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and enhance our AWS infrastructure
- Automate our platform with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management
- Support software development processes via CI/CD pipelines
- Evolve system security, reliability, scalability, performance, and quality
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Experience with managing infrastructure on AWS, CI/CD tools
- Experience with Agile workflow methodologies
- Experience with resource, security, and cost management strategies in AWS
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code methodologies such as Terraform
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies
- Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
